Get started with Gold Rush Gaming:

Want to get started in the gaming industry but unsure of how to do so? Gold Rush Gaming is here to help. Navigating through the licensing process can be a challenge but our team of professionals are here to work with you to make it as seamless as possible. We have simplified the process down to 5 steps and are always here to answer any questions you may have.

Step 1: Local Municipality

Call Gold Rush Gaming at 630-307-0500 to begin working with a representative today. We will get to know you and your business and make sure you are located in a municipality that allows video gaming. Your establishment must also have an on-premises liquor license unless you are a truck stop which must meet different qualifications.

Step 2: Licensing Application

Continue working with your Gold Rush Gaming representative to establish and sing a Terminal Use Agreement with Gold Rush Gaming. Afterwards you will fill out and submit the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Location Application online. When you submit your application you will be consenting to an extensive background check for any owners, co-owners, and managerial positions.

Step 3: Fingerprinting

All parties on your liquor license and gaming application are also required to get fingerprinted at an Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) approved facility. There are three authorized vendors, which  have locations throughout the state: Accurate Biometrics, Firm Systems, and IDEMIA. Afterwards, please submit your receipts to Gold Rush Gaming and we will submit your video gaming application.

Step 4: IGB Visit

Be on the look out after application submittal for correspondence via email or telephone. An GB agent will contact you and make an appointment to inspect your site. The purpose of the inspection is to determine if your establishment’s video gaming area is able to meet basic regulatory and technical criteria. All owners must be present for this inspection.

Step 5: Review & Approval

One your site passes inspection, your application is presented to the IGB for approval. While your application is pending you should consider looking into any additional licensing requirements in your municipality and/or county, Gold Rush Gaming can assist in this process as well. As soon as your location is approved we can begin planning for your equipment delivery.

What’s next?

Gold Rush Gaming will work with you to get all equipment delivered and installed at your establishment. The IGB and SciGames will then coordinate a time to turn on the machines, known as the “go live” date. You will meet your dedicated relationship manager on the selected date as well as an IGB Agent who will perform a “coin test” to ensure your machines function properly. Your location will the be fully functioning for live game play for your guests. After your “go live” you will continue to work with your Relationship Manager and many of our other teams here at Gold Rush Gaming including our marketing team, technicians, and many more to create a true partnership and ensure you are as successful as possible in the gaming industry.
