Navigating through the licensing process can be a challenge, but our team of professionals are here to work with you to make it as seamless as possible. Scroll through each of the 6 steps to learn more about the licensing process and how Gold Rush Gaming is here to help.

STEP 1- Local Municipality:

Call us at 630-307-0500 to begin working with a representative. We will get to know you, your business, and make sure that you are located in a municipality that allows Video Gaming. Your establishment must also have an on-premises liquor license – unless you are a truck-stop, which must meet different qualifications.

STEP 2- Licensing Application:

Continue working with your representative to establish and sign a Terminal Use Agreement with Gold Rush. Afterwards, you will fill out and submit the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Location Application online. When you submit your application, you will be consenting to an extensive background check for any owners, co-owners, and managerial positions.

STEP 3- Fingerprinting:

All parties on your liquor license and gaming application are also required to get fingerprinted at an Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) approved facility. There are three authorized vendors, which have locations throughout the state: Accurate Biometrics, Firm Systems and IDEMIA. Afterwards, please submit your receipts to Gold Rush and we will submit your Video Gaming application.

STEP 4- IGB Visit:

Be on the lookout for IGB correspondence via email or telephone. An IGB agent will contact you and make an appointment to inspect your site. The purpose of the inspection is to determine if your establishment’s Video Gaming area can meet basic regulatory and technical criteria. All owners must be present for inspection.

STEP 5- Review & Approval:

Once your site passes inspection, your application is presented to the IGB for approval.  While your application is pending, you should consider looking into any additional licensing requirements in your municipality and/or county. As soon as your location is approved, we can begin planning for equipment delivery.

STEP 6- Go Live:

After your equipment is delivered and installed, The IGB and SciGames will coordinate a time to turn on the machines, known as the “Go Live” date. You will meet your dedicated Relationship Manager on the selected date, as well as an IGB Agent who will perform a “coin test” to ensure that your machines function properly. Your location is now ready for live game play!
